Things are speeding up around here as we prepare to tape 6 programs before the end of the week. God has sent some “timely” guests and I’m anxious to share them with you. Keep watching……….and praying for us. Thanks so much!
Twice each year, the CHRISTIAN TELEVISION NETWORK radically changes our schedule in order to raise funds to continue the ministry for the next 6 months. However, it always turns out to be much more than raising money because so much Divine interaction happens between our prayer counselors and the viewers. Some receive Jesus as Savior, some request prayer for healing and numerous other situations. I hope you’ll join us in prayer as together we pray for the Lord’s perfect will during these next six days.
We have been busy working on programs with such a wide variety of subjects. The one continuing comment I receive is “you have such interesting guests”. All I can say is “Give God the glory”. He is the one that sends them and we have the privilege of presenting them to you. God bless you and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Three recent HOMEKEEPERS programs, each was a reminder how God sends us guests to be a special blessing to our viewers. The first program featured Jeff Parker and his concern about the American Church and how many are losing their sense of the Holiness of God. I certainly share that one. Author Suzanne Woods Fisher shared her knowledge of the AMISH and what we can learn from them, followed by David Glover who has established a new ministry to educate the church concerning the physically disabled among us. . . . all important topics. . . right? You will glean much from them as I did.
The holidays have now passed and we stand on a threshold of a brand new year. Our God is very much into “new”, He gave new manna to the Israelites each morning, His mercies are new every morning, and He promised that “old things would pass away, and behold all things would become NEW”. That is very good news. Let go of the old and embrace the “new” coming your way in 2014. Thanks for being a good friend to HOMEKEEPERS, next week we will once again begin taping NEW programs.
Hi Dear Friend,
Merry Christmas to you from HOMEKEEPERS. This is the season of the year when some of our best memories are made. I hope you can be close to your to those you love the most. It is best summed up by these words from Bill and Gloria Gaither…………… "We have this moment to hold in our hands, and to touch as it slips through our fingers like sand. Yesterday’s gone and tomorrow may never come, but we have this moment today."
I hope you’ll watch for a couple of shows to be aired next Monday and Tuesday, December 9th & 10th. On the 9th you’ll meet the parents of Rebecca Septusin as they discuss her battle with cancer while in her teens. On the 10th, Catherine Zoller, author of the most unique Children’s books on the planet returns. She takes an entire book from the Bible, sets it to rhyme and then adds to it brilliant illustrations. This time it’s the book of ACTS.
I woke up earlier than I needed to this morning and remembered how my grandmother prayed for us and no doubt I continue to be blessed by her prayers. I decided to pray for a grandson who is facing a tough decision. Then later, when I did get up to have my regular devotions, the passage I was reading mentioned my “grandson”. (Deuteronomy 6:2) How cool is that??? Some say “the devil is in the details”………not true. Our ALMIGHTY, ALL SUFFICIENT GOD is in the detail. Love you - Arthelene
I hope “you all” (little Southern lingo there) had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I was privileged to celebrate with 11 other family members in Boca Raton. Next to our salvation and relationship with Jesus – I believe FAMILY is God’s greatest gift to us.
“Come ye thankful people come, raise the song of Harvest Home. All is safely gathered in – ere the winter storms begin. God our maker doth provide, all our wants to be supplied. Come to God’s own Temple, come, raise the song of Harvest Home.” I remember singing that in school – yes public school – each year as we prepared for Thanksgiving. Sadly, I doubt that it would be allowed today.
Since Thanksgiving is all about families getting together, we have a special week to be aired for you beginning on Monday. Pastor Ken Whitten will be my guest each day as we discuss his 5-part series on the family. He left no one out of this series. If you’re single, “you’re in”, if you’re sad and just wish the Holidays could go by unnoticed, “you’re in”. Thanksgiving week on HOMEKEEPERS is a very special week, and to top it off, each day will feature a different “pumpkin” recipe. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND YOURS.
We’re about to close out another week of taping HOMEKEEPERS programs. I’m constantly amazed at the wonderful guests that the Lord sends our way. I would like to know if there is a certain person you would like to see on the program and more importantly, what subjects would you like for us to tackle?? I’m very interested in your input.
