The Children’s Home of Love, Kathmandu,
Nepal |
In Nepal, the economic distance between
the rich and poor is broad. The difference between them is
producing a social problem. The situation is the worst at
the lowest levels Unsatisfied; poverty-lined people produce
unwanted children who are known as “orphan”. In Nepal, child
labor, street children, trafficking in women & children,
child and sexual abuse are social problems. In Nepal, about
9% of the children are orphans and about 30% are street
children, in child labor, or prostitution. Due to the
poverty more than 60% of the children do not go to school.
Molly D’Andrea co-founder of CTN founded the Children’s Home
of Love with the goal to give new life in Christ to as many
of these children as we can, and train them for the future
to be productive citizens of their nation. In addition to
feeding and clothing these children and providing a loving
home where they are safe from the abuse of the streets, we
also are educating them in a Christian school and are
providing vocational training to them.
