Donated cars needed for working single parents

    For over 20 years the Christian Television Network  and WCLF TV has helped support families in financial crisis in our community.  The Love Basket began as an extension of CTN's prayer line.  As families called in for prayer, often a financial need was also met.  The Love Basket has since developed into its own ministry. That ministry is continually growing and the leadership seeks to listen to the voice of the Lord as He opens up new areas of assistance.  There are many aspects to the Love Basket.
                                                                                        
    Our primary goal is to assist working single parent families who are active in churches in their local community.  We want to not only assist them financially, but help direct them in their search.  Often another agency or ministry can better target a particular need.  We attempt to encourage people to get to work and get the education they need to make forward progress financially and spiritually. This hopefully results in them gathering the courage to step out of the revolving door of poverty for good.

    
    We focus on helping the houshold of faith. “If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it;  if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.  Now you are the body of Christ and members individually." 1Cor 12:26-27•   

     We are always looking for volunteers. Whether it's covering phone calls for the Prayer Line or a Telethon, filing papers, or sorting and hanging up clothes in the Thrift Store, we have a variety of work that needs to be done.  We also need donations. We will accept clothing, household items, and furniture which are then sold to others in our New Life Thrift Store or given away to families in crisis.  All proceeds are used to support the Love Basket.

We also are always looking for used vehicles to give to hardworking single parents who can best benefit from them.
