Child Evangelism Fellowship

San Diego, California. The School Board allowed free use for meetings to Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H Clubs, and other similar youth groups, but the district charged for the Child Evangelism Fellowship Club to meet. A federal court judge ruled that the School District discriminated against the CEF after-school program and awarded a refund of fees, including interest, and court-awarded attorney’s fees.

Congress Prints Bibles

1782 - Congress approves the printing of Bibles for schools. Our early government paid to have the Word of Jesus in classrooms. The separation that they were interested in was to ensure that citizens be separated from Satan.

Sidewalk Preaching

In 2007, a pastor and members of his congregation traveled to a downtown park to spread the message of salvation and the power to leave the 'gay' lifestyle through Christ. They were accosted and arrested by police who told them they could not conduct their business, even outside the park. The Alliance Defense Fund filed suit and the court dismissed the charges and the city had to settle, paying damages and attorney fees. The court gave a consent decree in which they admitted that it was a false arrest and that the freedom of religion and constitutional and due process rights had been violated.
