Important Update From CTN Vegas
GOD SPOKE AND I WAS STRENGTHENED

After a year and half of living in Las Vegas, I thought that we had finally “arrived” to where it would be easier sailing, and then, the flood happened. Yes, you heard it right—a flood came to the desert. A water heater exploded in the empty office next door to the CTN station. It flooded the station two to three inches, and it remained there all weekend without us knowing. It wasn’t until Monday morning when Scott arrived early to the office and discovered it. This meant the furniture had sat all weekend in the flood. The water seeped up into the drywall two feet, which will cause the drywall to have to be cut out. But first, the station needs to be dried out with big blowers. The desks, although beautiful, were made of plywood, and they started expanding and warping. Our papers and files began to wave, along with some of our paintings, which we had so frugally purchased while they were on sale, all to beautify the new CTNVegas station.
Minutes after we discovered the flood, a couple came in wanting to buy airtime. We could hardly concentrate on what they had to say. Where we sat across from them in the lobby, we had a clear view of the water flowing down the long hall. It looked like a shiny sheet of glass, winding a path into the four offices beyond. It was then that I thought of a local Pastor in Vegas of a 20k-mega church who warned Scott and myself that “we would feel it”, speaking of demonic attacks. He was right. Boy, have we felt it! In fact, we have felt it severely for over a year. The devil does not want to give up ground to the only Christian television station in the city. This battle is not for the faint-hearted. The station had two different owners before CTN bought it and although they tried, the station never got off the ground. Since the moment we arrived it has been one attack after another. When the two people that work with us here told us that they started experiencing technical problems as they were trying to reach their work deadline for CTN, we knew that it was a part of the assault in the “air”.
We taped with Annie Lobert for her new program, The Pink Chair, five days after the flood. She has been a precious saint of God through it all. The live streaming stopped after we had it going only two or three days. Her programming was affected, but instead of demanding, she texted me and said, “We need to pray. You are under attack.” I will always remember her for her support of us during this time. I told her to stick with us, for God is going to use CTNVegas. After she filmed her programs, we packed everything up into my husband’s truck and brought it home. Cameras, computers and you name it. We had no other choice but to ask our team to work from our house yesterday. We ate doughnuts. When everything else fails, have a feast!
Discouragement came knocking. Recently, I heard a preacher say, “You have to outlast the devil”, and I know that’s true, for the antichrist spirit comes to “wear out the saints” (Dan. 7:5). I have to tell you that we did feel a bit weary at this point. I needed a word from the Lord, and so did Scott. I woke up today hearing a familiar Scripture, but didn't know where it was in Isaiah. Before I could look it up, Jane D’Andrea called to check on us and she started praying. And as Jane was praying, I opened my Bible and my eyes fell on the title of the chapter, THE DESERT BLOSSOMS. I told Jane where my Bible fell open to, and then I began to declare it out loud with both of us rejoicing.
“the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the rose”
“they shall see the glory of the Lord and the excellency of our God”
“strengthen the weak hands and confirm the feeble knees”
“be strong and fear not. Behold your God will come with vengeance...He will save you.”
“the eyes of the blind shall be opened and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped”
“the lame man shall leap as a hart and the tongue of the dumb shall sing for joy”
“in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert”
“a highway shall be there, and a way, it shall be called THE WAY OF HOLINESS”
“the redeemed shall walk there; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away” (Isa. 35)
Afterward, I handed the phone to Scott so that Jane could encourage him, too. God has a plan! A revival will break out! “They shall see”, said Isaiah. Did you get that? They shall SEE on CTNVegas the glory of the Lord and the excellence of our God here in Las Vegas! We are raising up a team unique to Vegas, and one which I believe are world changers. Hang onto our (CTN’S) coattails, I tell them, for there is only one way to go, and it’s UP!
As I write this article, I just hung up with my assistant, Darlene. I read the article to her and she was laughing all the way through it! I was expecting at least an ‘Oh my and God bless you’ type of thing, but instead she laughed and laughed. She could not contain herself from laughing. I couldn’t see how this was so funny! She told me, then, that she had sent us a package a couple of days ago with a Word from the Lord in it. She said the Word was from Isaiah 35! Only God. Pray for us as we recoup and march forward.
