CTN Southwest Florida is looking for a Full Time Traffic Coordinator worker.

The Media Management Support Specialist will work closely with the Media Management Team and Master Control Operators to make sure everything is covered in the Media Management Department. This person will also serve as administrative help in the Media Management Department.

Education Requirements:

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required, supplemented by vocational or technical training in broadcast or a related field; supplemented by two years of experience in broadcast or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all county or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position. Requires skill in operating and maintaining electronic, computer, networking, mechanical, and broadcasting systems and equipment. Requires knowledge of FCC regulations and Professional Broadcast Industry Standards. Ability to read and understand schematics, CAD drawings, and technical manuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Understand the Vision and goals of the organization.
2. Responsible for file management including Ingest, processing, labeling and distributing of long form and short form content.
3. Responsible for deleting files within the purge orders as needed.
4. Work with IT and Engineering to make sure that all incoming content meets or exceeds the quality standards set forth by CTN specifications.
5. Trimming and editing files that need to be adjusted.
6. Work with the Closed Captioning Department by providing content that needs captioned.
7. Work with the Media Management team and/or Sales to ensure proper broadcasting of scheduled content.
8. Investigate file related issues.
9. Have a basic working knowledge of all programs used in the Media Management Department.
10. Serve as a back-up in the case of an absence or scheduled vacation for Master Control Operators and Media Management Team Members.
11. Responsible for scheduling, processing, and distributing content recorded by Network Operations.
12. Handling any other content related issues that may arise.
13. Any other need or responsibility that may come about when future projects/technologies are implemented.
14. Maintain a professional attitude and respect fellow employees time by being punctual.
