KQDK CTN Rocky Mountain is looking for a Part Time Traffic Station Assistant worker.

General Function:

The Traffic / Office Assistant plays a vital role in the daily operations of the station. This team member manages traffic logs and playout schedules, assists with technical and equipment errors, and supports the General Manager with administrative tasks. This is a multifaceted role requiring technical knowledge, strong organizational skills, and a heart for ministry.

Required Education and Experience

Education Requirements:

Minimum: H S Graduate/GED

Prefer: Degree or certification in Broadcasting, Media Production, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills and Work Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a television station or production environment preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn and troubleshoot equipment and software
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Task-oriented and self-motivated
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Able to lift equipment or items up to 35 lbs.

  • Strong character, integrity, and commitment to representing Christ in all responsibilities
  • Team-oriented with the ability to lead and support others

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Traffic Responsibilities

  • Ensure synchronization between playout schedules and printed traffic logs.
  • Monitor all audio and video inputs for quality assurance.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations (loss of signal, program issues, equipment failure, EAS alerts).
  • Maintain accurate and compliant station logs and reports per FCC and CTN standards.
  • Communicate with local programmers regarding content delivery or issues.
  • Work closely with the production team for in-house promos, devotionals, and tags.
  • Complete monthly Discrepancy Reports and annual.
  • Maintain and track programming contracts, expiration dates, and renewals.
  • Coordinate all programming updates and changes with the General Manager.
  • Remain “on-call” for technical emergencies related to programming.

Office Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for phone calls, visitors, and mail.
  • Assist the General Manager with administrative tasks and event planning.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception, office, and studio spaces.
  • Handle viewer correspondence with professionalism and care.
  • Monitor and order office, kitchen, and cleaning supplies as needed.

Production Responsibilities:

  • Support production efforts through basic editing and tagging of content (Adobe Premiere Pro proficiency preferred).
  • Operate studio cameras, audio equipment, and assist during on-location shoots.
  • Assist with studio setup and prep work as needed.
